Tuberculosis is a lung disease that kills many people each year. The bacteria are good at hiding from antibiotics. Scientists at Johns Hopkins built a vaccine you breathe in through the nose. It carries a piece of genetic code that trains the body to fight the germ. In animal tests it cleared the infection faster and calmed lung swelling. It also stopped the disease from coming back. Testing in people is still ahead, but a simple nose spray would be easy to give.
